January 25-February 2, 2026
This week begins our celebration of Catholic Schools Week. The theme this year is “Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace,” a prayer attributed to St. Francis of Assisi that calls us to actively bring love, pardon, faith, hope, light, and joy to those around us. This charism also reflects the guiding spirit of our founding Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and continues to shape who we are today.
There are many ways we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week, beginning with a kick-off Mass and Pancake Breakfast at Christ the King on Sunday, January 25. We will close our weeklong celebration with Mass and hospitality at St. Thomas the Apostle on Sunday, February 1, at 9:00 a.m. Students wearing their school uniform will earn an out-of-uniform pass. We hope you’ll join us!
We have several activities planned throughout the week, including themed dress-up days, an all-school Mass, a staff appreciation luncheon, Q&A with Fr. Erich, community-building activities, BINGO, bowling, and more!
Called to service, we have created an emergency response fund to support our community members and neighboring parish families facing financial hardship due to recent immigration issues. Our National Junior Honor Society students will be collecting donations for this fund at the Friday drive-up parent coffee this week. Families may also contribute through our school webpage or VENMO link. We will also continue to collect food donations and warm-weather gear for Waite House and neighboring parishes in need.
We are truly blessed to be part of such a generous and committed community of doers, peacemakers, and believers. Thank you for all you do to support Carondelet Catholic School.
Happy Catholic Schools Week!
